New Year's Skiing

Mom and me on one of about three open runs at Wolf Laurel in North Carolina. We decided to try this place to beat the crowds at Beech and Sugar mountains near Banner Elk. Turns out it's a tiny mountain with mediocre snowmaking jammed with church groups from all over the southeast.

It was fun, though. I believe it was my first trip of the season. Mom was disappointed the place is located in a dry county :-(
